Although the best characer to distinguish between the two species (the
presence or absence of trousered legs) is mostly obscured I am confident
that it is a Barn Owl. I lightened the picture and the characteristic
colouration of a Barn Owl was evident. The one leg that is partly visible
(which looks miniature) is also not trousered.
