G'day Troy I haven't tried BirdSight Australia it but for $2.49 I'll give it a go. Not sure about the 'You must be over 17' warning for 'Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes' though. I have the iBird Explorer Plus app on my iPod Touch. It is a true field guide and covers all North American species with text, paintings, photos and calls you can listen to. A few rough edges but I found it really useful in the US recently. I think they are working on a European version. It's an indication of the potential of the platform. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
