Yes, I agree, I've had an uncomfortable feeling around the Top End for
the last couple of years. In particular I've been advising friends not
to leave vehicles unattended at the Holmes Jungle car park - if the boom
gate is down that is. No problem if it's open and you can drive right
in. But if it is shut it's a long walk in from your car. I've noticed
police patrols in the area too which is probably indicative of the risk.

Hi Denise and all,

Also a word of caution if you are going to Holmes Jungle.  We had our
ute
broken into last year while visiting there.  A large rock was thrown in
the
front passenger side and a small pack taken.  The door was also damaged
inside on the drivers side from the force of impact.  We are sure the
thieves were scared of by others arriving as nothing else was stolen and

they had not got as far as unlocking the doors.
