Hi David

I spent a week birding in Goa in 2006.

I used "Pocket Guide to the Birds of the Indian Subcontinent" - that's
Grimmett, Inskipp and Inskipp, ISBN 0-7136-6304-9 - not a bad field guide, and
it served me well.

I'll drop you a separate note with where we stayed and what we saw, but I guess
any suggestions might depend on whether you're going to be there for flat-out
birding aiming for a very big list including key endemics, or socially
acceptable birding (with a family for example) which will only get you a big
list!

Do you have a base yet, or is that to be decided?

All the best

Bill Jolly
