"Bird heads", hey?
David, the best field guide that covers Singapore is "New Holland Field
Guide to the Birds of South-east Asia" by Craig Robson. It can be a bit
tricky to get. Try Andrew Isles - http://www.andrewisles.com/.
There are a number of good spots in Singapore for birding. Central Catchment
Nature Reserve, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (and the adjacent Kranji
Marshes), the various inlets and estuaries including Seragoon Estuary on the
north coast, and best of all, the island of Pulau Ubin (easily accessible
from Changi Village). Also the Botanic Gardens and Fort Canning Park are
well worth a visit.
Let me know if you want any more detail.

Subject: RFI re Birding in Goa and Singapore
Hi bird heads,
Anyone have recent info on the birding in the state of Goa in India and
which field guide is best and also birding around Singapore. I have a
few spare days in both locations and might as well as not. Cheers
