Hello all,

I'll be heading up to Cairns next week where I'm hoping to catch up with a few
species I haven't seen yet, most notably Red-necked Crake. Are there any good
sites for them in Cairns and if so, how do I get there and how do I find one? I
would also be interested in seeing Black Butcherbird and Grey Goshawk. I won't
have a car so I'll be limited to walking, buses and/or taxis. I'll also be
going out to Michaelmas Cay on the 24th. has anyone been out there recently and
seen anything other than the usual birds there? Also, is the Laughing Gull
still around?

Cheers,

Petter Zahl Marki
