Alan Morris and I travelled to Melbourne on Saturday to search for the Little Stint at the WTP previously reported by Tim Dolby. Steve Davidson very kindly provided access and guided us around the treatment plant. After much searching we finally located the bird mid afternoon feeding in mud in a paddock in the area of the access gate to The Spit end of the plant. This was several hundred metres from the pond that Tim Dolby located the bird. The Little Stint was feeding with 100+ Red-necked Stints, numerous Double Banded Plovers and Red Capped Plovers.
