Hi folks,

Jack, Karen and myself are flying into Avalon from Bundaberg after lunch
tomorrow (Tues) and would like to link up with anyone interested in going to
the WTP Wed morning. We hope to try for the Hudwit at Laverton Ck Tues arvo
(where it was a few days ago with 2 Bar-tailed Godwits according to Birdline
Victoria), and Point Cook (where it was a week or so ago). If we dip, the WTP
would be the obvious next place to look. Latest news also is that a breeding
plumaged Little Stint was at the WTP also yesterday (Tim Dolby, Birdline Vic).
We actually saw one there last year, but I thought this might encourage someone
with a key to meet us there! It'd be great to see one again. The other bird
that Jack needs is the Orange-bellied Parrot which has been seen recently at
the Borrow Pits.

If anyone has some up to date info on the Hudwit ,we'd really appreciate it.
We'll be driving to Brisbane at 5am tomorrow to catch a flight but will be on
the mobile. Also to verify that Laverton Ck is the creek near Queen St, just
south of Altona (not the one in the middle of the old saltworks) Google Earth
doesn't want to name waterways! Ta

Thanks in advance,

Bill and Jack Moorhead
