Rohan Clarke just phoned to say that at about 13.00 today he saw the Brown Honeyeater drinking at the most vegetated dam on Campbell Road in Kamarooka State Park near Bendigo. I was going for this a week ago but was put off because it hadn't been seen for a week and reputedly there was a general absence of honeyeaters at that time. Today ten species were present but no White-fronted or Purple-gaped.
