Hi Troy,I was at H-K in September '07 - so conditions might have changed considerably. Had no luck along Nowingi Track, unlike everyone else........!!! However, Lake Yerang, a rather shallow wetland, was gorgeous towards sunset, with lots of birdlife such as Glossy Ibis. What I was really hoping for/waiting for by the River Red Gums, well, - I wrote this elsewhere a while ago:- I camped for 2 nights in Hattah-Kulkyne N.P., Vic, and this sighting was by a gorgeous Lake Yerang:- Superb views of 7-8 Regent Parrots, bathed in the golden light of the late afternoon sun, chattering away, and in full view through my scope....! Have fun. Cheers Peter Madvig |
