Yes, a sudden influx of twitchers is typically followed by a rapid dissipation of the throng as participants depart bearing their ticks (photos and field notes). Many will not return until a different vagrant turns up.

Interesting.  Is there a Latin version of "twitchers" that you could
insert to make a wholly Latin phrase?
