Hi,

I came back last night from a business trip to Lorne (Thursday through
Saturday). Sunday was a day off (with a non-birding colleague):

Yesterday, I had two Freckled Ducks (looked like a pair in non-breeding
plumage) at McLeod's Waterholes, Drysdale. (Lake Lorne itself was awfully dry
and didn't produce much)
Other goodies: Purple-crowned Lorikeets plus a Swamp Wallaby at the You Yangs
entrance yesterday, Gang-gangs daily at Lorne, an Australian Hobby at Lorne
(Saturday), 19 Koalas at Kennett River yesterday.
Dips: no Fairy Terns, no Banded Stilts... (at Avalon Beach yesterday)

Cheers,

Nikolas
