When I told him to go ahead, he hesitated, then said he'd "probably end up
with egg on (his) face". A magistrate friend told me she'd have thrown  the
case out of court. 

When I see the damage wrought by developers, by weeds such as Gamba grass,
and by agriculture  and hard-hooved grazing animals, I do wonder if we've
lost our sense of proportion.
