I've just been sent a photo of a Sparrow/Goshawk by my mum, to ID, and I can't remember the differentiating features. It's feeding on the ground, and size is difficult to tell, nor can I see the tail notches. The legs look long and skinny, and not at all trousered. The brow doesn't look very solid either, but it's not a superb photo. Any ideas? I'll try to get some higher res images, and figure out a way to post them.
