The Royal Spoonbills decided, despite their monarchist name, to celebrate
Australia Day by the flight of the final chick from the nest. I will be
writing a sequel for the June edition of Canberra Bird Notes but thought I'd
mark this occasion by providing a link to a brief summary of proceedings on
my bloghttp://
franmart.blogspot.com/2009/01/too-many-spoonbills-are-never-enough.html.

As some of the timngs we have observed are possibly of interest to birding
people outside COG I have asked Anthony Overs to copy this to birding-aus.
I apologise if the cross posting results in stress to download limits.

Martin
