You could also head up to Seal Rocks (but I don't know the current condition
of the unsealed road through the NP). I'm told that there are Rose-crowned
Fruit-doves there in summer.
The Radjahs move around a bit, but almost always it's somewhere near to a
campsite or picnic area where people see them. All I can suggest is that
you try at all such locations until you get lucky.
If you want some places in the Newcastle area to try on your way up, or
back, go to www.hboc.org.au and download some of the birding routes.

Hi all
I am off to Hawks Nest for a week on Saturday. Apart from Mungo Brush and
Tamboi in Myall Lakes NP, any other suggested sites in the area?
Will possibly try the Bulahdelah Forest Park as well.
Where have the Rajah Shelduck been seen recently?
Would have got some info from the archives no doubt, but as Russell pointed
out, they aren't up at the moment.
Thanks
