Hi all
I was looking at Eremaea for possible sites for my forthcoming trip to Myall Lakes/Hawks Nest/Tea Gardens and noticed the following recently posted list for Hexham Swamp, near Newcastle NSW. My attention was taken by the record of a pair of Painted Snipe - I am not sure if Grant Brosie is a member of this forum, but I would be interested if he (or any other Hunter Region observers) could shed any light on this (eg access, where they were etc) as, if feasible, I could make an attempt for them on my way north. I notice that the list was only posted to Eremaea today (8 Jan) so the observation itself may not have made it past the site moderators onto Birdline NSW yet.
