Don,

You should be able to get both Blue-winged Parrots and Gang Gangs at Cape Otway (near coast not in rain forest) at this time of year. Of course they are both found closer to Melbourne too, perhaps near Geelong, but I can't offer any really reliable spots.

Anyone know of an area within a days drive or so of Melbourne that is well frequented by Gang gang cockatoos? The last time I saw these beauts was in the blue mountains in NSW 25 years ago! Hoping to obtain some stellar footage of them.

As always without the kind help of our members at Birding Aus I would be baffled as to where to look for parrots for my filming endeavor. Many many thanks to those who have helped!

Don
