Just to set the record straight (although really no relevance to birds). Anthea wrote: "The Conder isn't a suburb (in Melbourne any rate) but a street in Heidelberg". This was in response to my "then we have a suburb Conder, named after the painter Charles Conder". I suppose instead of "we have", I should have written "Canberra has". That Melbourne has a street named after the same person does not negate that Canberra also has a suburb so named. Philip |
