All of the discussion has prompted my memory. I recall readings a street map once in England (dunno where for) and I reckon the council dept. responsible for street naming was having a lend- the streets were named after a variety of ducks including Mallard, Teal, Wigeon and ....Donald.

I've recently moved house. The area where we live has many roads named after birds (how lovely - we live on Widgeon ourselves - which is a type of
duck).

A street nearby is called "Warrajah". Is this a bird related name? A
Google search doesn't bring up much.
