Dear all,

I have a post on a recent story in The Economist entitled "China - not a good place to be a bird...or a birder" at my Northern Myth blog at: http://blogs.crikey.com.au/northern/.

There is a also a discussion on the mindless vandalism reported today in the SMH at Culburra (Little Terns) and Cudmirrah (Hooded Plovers) on the NSW south coast...

Cheers and my heart goes out to Darryl and all the other volunteers and workers that have done so much to support shorebirds on the south coast.
