Hi All, Yesterday (Sunday 14 December) I saw a female Red-chested Button-quail feeding on the track along the northern bank of Middle Creek in Elanora Heights Reserve, on the western shore of Narrabeen Lake. The bird was seen approximately half way between the car park and the tip of the peninsula. It allowed me to approach quite closely without flushing, clearly showing the red underside extending well below the chest to the belly.
