Fig Parrots, Night Parrots and now another new bird!!
The Australian people can, as you say "look forward to hearing over
the next year about these latest discoveries"
I personally hope John Young did find a new Fig Parrot, has found
Night Parrots breeding like chickens on a spinifex plain somewhere out
west and has found another new species of an exotic north Queensland
bird.
And if these latest two are shrouded in as much mystery as the fig
parrot then the discussion on this forum is something to look forward
to!!
cheers

He showed us several photos of Coxen’s Fig-Parrot including images

nest found in 2008 which has been collected under licence for
scientific

18
months and what he has discovered is quite amazing and will be
revealed in
due course. He told us stories of his unique Australian bush
experiences
with these and other birds. His amazing discoveries are not finished.
Expect more on the Night Parrot. And perhaps even more amazing, we saw
several photos of yet another new discovery under DNA analysis at
this very
moment. This makes at least three significant discoveries the
Australian
people can look forward to hearing more about over the next year or
so.
