Hi all,
I had a similar surprise. I was at work, Camellia, Sydney (just behind Rosehill
Race course) and there was a R Fantail. In an industrial area full of major
warehousing, refineries, and trucking industry.
Go figure !

outside and I looked up to see a Rufous Fantail peering in at me through the
window (or rather at its reflection) - I nearly dropped my laptop for the
second time in a week! There is a creek with slightly wetter forest down the
hill from us but I was amazed to see it near our house. It hung around in the
front garden for quite a while with some thornbills before disappearing. A very
welcome break from work on a Sunday!> > cheers> Arwen>
