Peter and Robert The Painted Snipe was in a different location when I last visited (9 Nov) and the hide was the best place from which to see it. It may have been visible from the viewing platform but I didn't try there. David Billinghurst's report of 9 Nov indicates that it wasn't visible from outside the fence. If this is the case then you'll have to try to see it from the car park.
