Sadly for many people there has been serious flooding in the Lockyer Valley west of Brisbane overnight and recently and looks like more to come. Property flooding, road damage etc. On the positive the Lockyer Valley has experienced drought at various levels now for almost 30 years, so the rain will hopefully bring benefits in time. From a birding perspective I imagine it will come alive - areas like Lake Clarendon, Atkinsons Dam and others may fill up and we might see huge numbers of waterbirds as I remember back in the late eighties. Will be interesting to see what happens David Taylor Brisbane =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
