   Hi All,
For the first time in about ten years, a pair (two anyway) of
BLACK-FRONTED DOTTERELS have been on the shore of the small dam at the
bottom of Mayfair Rd. Mulgoa, south side, for the past two days.
WHITE-WINGED TRILLERS half way up the hill for over two weeks. VARIED
SITELLAS and EASTERN SHRIKETITS are regular, plus many more. GOLDEN-HEADED
CISTICOLAS in paddock opposite Notre Dame entry, also NUTMEG MANNIKINS,
EUROPEAN GOLDFINCHES among Double-bars and Red-brows.Resident BAR-SHOULDERED
and PEACEFUL DOVES. Almost as good as the pre-drought era, when over fifty
spp.were easily seeable in an hour's walk, but the doves are recent (five
yrs, now breeding). A great season, but trees and undergrowth are slowly
being cleared.
                                            Cheers
                                                Michael
