Dear allPaid a visit to Gloucester office of National Parks & Wildlife Service this morning. News on opening of the track to the Tops is bad. The damage is more extensive than originally thought. RTA is involved - talking of doubling costs and even making a new track. It won't be open this year. So no treks up to Kirripit etc. to listen for and perhaps find the Rufous Scrubbird this year, unless you want to walk in from the Chichester Dam/Barrington House side - 2/3 nights camping etc. and a long walk there and back. No one is allowed to walk the damaged track from the Camping site the Gloucester end. Will post news when there is some. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
