Everyone,
I recent sent out a RFI on the Mackay area. Well our plans have changed some
what and we're now heading to Townsville for a few days after Mackay, visiting
Paluma, Tyto, Jourama Falls and other spots in the area. We'd love recent info
on the following species please (sorry the list is so long but this is our
first time in the tropics):
-Green Pygmy-goose
-White-browed Crake
-Superb Fruit-dove
-Pied Imperial Pigeon
-Double-eyed Fig-parrot????
-Oriental and Little Bronze-cuckoos
-Rufous Owl
-Barking Owl
-Papuan Frogmouth
-Large-tailed Nightjar
-Little Kingfisher
-Buff-breasted Paradise-kingfisher
-Lovely Fairy-wren
-Best spots around Paluma for Fernwren, Golden Bowerbird, Chowchilla etc etc
-Yellow-spotted, Graceful, White-gaped, Bridled, Varied, Brown-backed,
Bar-breasted, Macleays and Rufous-throated Honeyeaters
-Lemon-bellied and Shining Flycatcher
-Mangrove and White-browed Robin
-Pied Monarch and Northern Fantail
-Barred Cuckoo-shrike
-Black Butcherbird
-Black-throated Finch!
-Zitting Cisticola
-Metallic Starling
