Gavin ,
The bird in question was the Black-throated finch , and the blocks of land were in a " bush block " subdivision done in Townsville , Q'land . The subdivision appeared slightly dodgy , and the developer possibly knew it was a recognised finch habitat .
   Cheers John ,

G'day all,

A co worker has just mentioned a story he saw on TV about blocks of land people bought (in NSW possibly) only to find out they couldn't build a house on the blocks. Did anyone see the story and could they tell me the area and species of bird it referred to please?

Thanks in advance
Gavin
