Hi All,I visited the Western Treatment Plant at Werribee, Victoria today and noticed a couple of unusual Flag/band combinations on a couple of Waders. A Sharp-tailed Sandpiper had, Right Leg: Tibia: Black Flag over White Flag - Left leg: Tibia: Black Band. I believe this bird may have been banded in mainland China. Can anyone confirm this? The other bird seen had Right Leg: Tibia Orange Flag over Yellow Flag - Left leg none. The closest I could find was South Australia?? Some photos of both birds can be seen at m("N05/sets/72157608259561888/","//www.flickr.com/photos/7116052");">http: Any assistance would be appreciated so I can report the bands to the relevant organizations Cheers, Paul Paul Hackett Melbourne, Australia 0414355146 =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
