When we were there last Thursday I too was surprised to see the camp
set up less than 40m from the nest. We sat quietly under the tree
about 30m away towards the creek, observed the male leave and the
female arrive, then we moved away. There was absolutely no need for us
or anyone else to examine the nest closely.
