Hello everyone, the duck population in the Hawkesbury this winter as been the worst I can ever remember. There is no shortage of water with all lagoons full. Normally we have a large influx of Pink-eared's Shoveler's and Hardheads over the winter months. Can anyone shed any light on this, they must be somewhere. Nankeen Night Herons have also been absent for many months from there usual roosting sites? Heard my first White-throated Gerygone for this spring at Kurrajong yesterday. keith b the beautiful Hawkesbury 60km N/W of Sydney ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
