Hi all,

Just heard an Eastern Koel calling from a Camphor Laurel here in Lambton
(suburb of Newcastle, NSW).

I have also noticed a large influx of Mary Fartins around the Hunter Estuary
(in groups of up to 20 birds). Also heard a White-throated Gerygone at Seaham
last week but unsure if that would be a migrant bird.

Of interest, I had a report from Allan Richardson of a Black-eared Cuckoo at
Warkworth, about 15km west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley on Thursday. This
is a good bird to find in the Hunter, particularly on the eastern edge of the
Wollemi escarpment.

Cheers.
