Some of the behaviours described by members sound just like sun bathing to me. Normally the bird will have its beak slightly open, head tilted, and wings spread where the sunlight can fall directly upon the feathers. Often the bird appears dead, and will allow a person to approach. We've seem most species do this. Cheers, Belinda . =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
