Hi Jennifer,

It's a Yellow-throated Scrubwren. The problem you had with ID'ing this bird is 
that you can't actually see the yellow throat. A beautiful bird - one of my 
favorites. If you've seen one of these you're birding in some great habitat.

Also for ID purposes it always help to tell people where you saw it (unless 
you're running it  a quiz question).

Hi All,

This very novice birdwatcher/attempting photographer wonders if anyone would be 
able to shed some light on what this smallish bird might be, please?  Can't 
seem to find it in my "Slater"'s Field Guide.
