I am in Sydney. Come to think of it, my off-the-top-of-my-head impression is
they are less common than they used to be (unlike the white faced) Cas

I saw one White-necked Heron on Sunday morning flying over Tooradin in
Victoria but it's been many many months (years?) since I've seen one. Where
have they all gone? They used to be in and around most dams on the
Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas, but not anymore.

Have other people noticed this phenomenon?
