Kununurra and Kimberley

Hi all, Im just about to head off to Katherine to start a bike (Bicycle)
ride to Broome via Kununurra and the Gibb Road. Can anyone give me some
hints/tips re good birdwatching spots on the route, species to look for?
Especially around Kununurra town but also along the way. Im riding with
another birdo and itd be great to combine the trip with some quality
birding
