I work opposite the Treasury Gardens and one of my colleagues told me that
she saw a flock of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos feeding in the trees on
the Wellington Road side during her lunchtime walk a couple of weeks ago.
Didn't spot them myself.

Regards

David

I was riding home along the Yarra River Wed evening, about 5.00pm and a
flock of Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoos were moving from tree to tree on
the north side of the river, directly across from the Botanical
Gardens. I'm pretty certain there were Yellow Tailed as although I was
looking into the setting sun, I could see a lighter patch on their
tails, and they were definitely black cockatoos.

How unusual is it for these cocky's to be in the city? I've never seen
them before (but then, I'm new to birding!)

Cheers,
Liz Headland
