MAROUBRA, SYDNEY NSW - MISTRAL POINT - SATURDAY 12.7.08 - sea-eagle with prion

Hi Folks,

 

Highlight of the day:       At 4.30pm a fully adult Sea-Eagle with a prion
in its talons (observed at 100m-1km with a Kowa 88) flying south

 

At Maroubra this am:

Fairy Prion                    +20 (down to 200m, mainly 1-1.5km)

BB Albatross                 +10

Wandering Alb               2

Shy Albatross                1

Fluttering Shearwater     +50

White-Fronted Tern        +6

Bottlenose Dolphin         1

Humpback Whale          +4 (down to 400m)         

 

This pm:

Yellow-Nosed Alb           +5
