Tom,

A Gang Gang Cockatoo was reported a year or two ago from the same area, so possibly the same bird.

Sounds very much like it is an escapee.

cheers

Hi All,

I've just been informed of a sighting of Gang-gang Cockatoo in a eucalypt in
Leo Lindo Drive
Shailer Park Qld, near Venman Park south of Brisbane.
The observer has confirmed by phone that it is this species, possibly an
escapee but feeding on gumnuts at top of tree.

I can pass on the observers details if contacted off-list.

Tom
