Hobby hunting in low light

HI Richard

I've 5 records of Hobby hunting at dusk (including one in June) down here inSE Melbourne. I suspect they are after birds settling into roosts (eg.sparrows in shopping centres).

But the closest I've ever been to one was when I was on a cliff top at dawnand it hurtled past about 1 metre off the ground and 2 m from me in very lowlight (and then rose against the sky so I could i/d it).
