One other question:
I have about 2 weeks in NT with an unlimited KM hire car, working my way from
Darwin to Alice. Most of my itinerary is fleshed out, and I intend to go at
least as far West as Victoria River Crossing. I need virtually everything, but
Gouldian Finch is naturally high on the list. With an extra day around July
11, would a day better be spent going further west to Timber Creek, or trying
areas around Katherine/Pine Creek.
