Gooday birders

Between the 20th and 25th June 2008 Theo and I had a very quick trip
from Newcastle NSW to and along the development road between Windorah
and Bedourie with a stop at Bowra Station, near Cunnamulla, on the way.
Among the heaps of birds we saw were the tick highlights of Black
Honeyeater about 33.5km south of Windorah and Pied Honeyeater about 77km
west of Windorah. Additional ticks for myself included the Bourkes
Parrot and Stubble Quail at Bowra Station. The development road is
easily traversable and goes through mostly gibber plains.
