A few nice sightings yesterday Jun 27:
Black-breasted Buzzard one over the highway just north of Biboohra, near Mareeba, an unusual record here.
Square-tailed Kite 1 near Mt. Molloy
Little Eagle 1 near Mt. Molloy
Swamp Harrier 2 over floodwater near Big Mitchell Creek, also W-b Sea- Eagle and Eastern Osprey.
Mt Lewis:
Grey Goshawk 1 pair
Chowchilla 3 with Fernwren following along behind feeding in their wake
Bridled Honeyeater
Mountain Thornbill
Atherton Scrubwren
Grey-headed Robin

Black Mt Road, Kuranda:
Red-necked Crake 1 Cassowary House
Topknot Pigeon 12
Superb Fruit-Dove quite vocal, one male seen
White-eared and Pied Monarch, the former very vocal at the moment.
Yellow-breasted Boatbill
Grey Whistler
Victoria's Riflebird doing brief displays.

Kuranda Village:
Double-eyed Fig Parrot 100 reported in a fruiting fig opposite the Vietnamese cafe in Kuranda, adjacent to Library car park Jun 25. Striated Heron 1 imm on the Barron R at Kuranda from Jun 20-26, unusual here.
