Ruth and I are heading up to Castlemaine (Victoria) on the weekend to look
for Swift Parrots on the golf course. A couple of questions – hopefully
someone knows the answers! Which golf course should we go to? There appear
to be two – one just slightly to the north of the town and one about five
kilometres to the west – the web site for the Castlemaine Golf Club refers
to the course that is to the west of the town (the web site also mentions
Swift Parrots!) Secondly, someone mentioned to me the other day that the
17th hole is the best place to see Swift Parrots – I can’t remember if it
was the tee or the green though!
