Tony,It will be interesting to watch and see if and when other kites learn from this one. You are very fortunate to be in on the (possible) development of a new behaviour. Dabbling among Plumed Whistling Ducks here on the Atherton Tablelands was first observed by myself a few years back when we had a dry winter and there was not much green graze around. It spread slowly as a behaviour but is now wide spread in two populations. Regards, Alan |
