Hi all, The fishing Black Kite at Tyto Wetlands is no Osprey. Saw two gasping fish rise to surface and sink again yesterday. Seems the one kite's been preying on near dead. (But why just one?) Helps explain why a pair of Brahminys seldom in wetlands have taken over a melaleuca in the lagoon (after their nature strip des. res. wiped out by highway remodelling). The fish deaths are unexplained.
