Indeed it is horrifying. I wonder how much damage to the population
could be done with some determined schoolkids and some golf clubs, as
some Queensland towns have done with the toad.
I did note this in the story:
"The big question is whether the UK will take its international
commitments seriously and do what the governments of New Zealand and
Australia have done, and provide the big money needed to actually do
the mouse eradication."
I thought the Australian record on such matters was pretty poor.
Anyone know how Macquarie Isl is fairing? Or are hands still being sat
upon?
