Hopefully the accommodation is cheaper than the fuel ($2.05 / L for unleaded). I saw a lone Flock Bronzewing drinking at the Playford River crossing last Wednesday (30 April). No sign of the Yellow Chat at the bore 21 km north of here.....oh well.... If you feel the need for a drive I saw Gouldian Finch with chicks at the T&T site for Carpentarian G'wren west of Borroloola (only about 450 km from the road house). The Tablelands Hwy is a great drive, spectacular in bits, less so in the cow country. Hope this helps. Graham |
